Warm, durable and light

I purchased the classic 10x10 tent in 2017 and take it out about 4 times a season. It has held up remarkably well, with no wear and tear that impacts use. I use the Esker canvas cleaner each spring and it continues to look almost new. An adjustable centre pole is helpful, I just create my snow anchors from material in the bush. Two people with cots is very comfortable. It can do three people with sleeping pads leaned against the wall while hanging out. 4 people doable but squishy. The canvas is brilliant for letting moisture out compared to nylon offerings, gear dries out quickly. I would not use the spark arrester with the cap as it gums up very quickly and leads to creosote splashes on the tent.

I met the Esker team at the Hamilton Expo in 2026 - they provide great support for their products and have a passion for creating quality equipment. Thanks for the bucksaw competition, and go Canada!

12x12 classic 2

Finally got out last weekend with the family(3) and dog for a 2 night camp. Temps reached a low of -6C at night and we stayed comfortably warm without any extra blankets. It's a little tricky getting the roof not to sag but repositioning tie downs fixed things up. Plenty of room for the 3 of us, a dog and all our gear with room to still sit around the fire. Highly recommend for anyone thinking about getting one.

Lets Get Choppin 🪓

Eskers Camp Axe, is a true Work Horse. Stunning Old world Styling-Quality Handforged Steel, Hefty Hickory handle, and Custom Leather Mask. Swing after Swing the camp axe blasted through Larch blocks with ease. Two handed chopping was a pleasure and processing kindling was a breeze. A great axe for around the homestead.... Looking forward to putting it to the test out Camping .

Buy the centre pole with tent

Fantastic tent, in hindsight I would’ve bought the 12x12 as set up would be just as easy and it’s not like weight is a concern as I truck camp with it. Buy the centre pole! It makes set up a breeze and having the ability to adjust the tent height incrementally is almost necessary. Using a random fixed pole would be difficult. I would’ve preferred the tent to be sold with the pole and tent pegs…. Those are my only “complaints”. With the wood stove it is comfortable for two people plus a lot of gear ( cooler, blue bin, bags etc.). I have set it up twice and it takes me 20 minutes not rushing by myself. I would definitely recommend!

In hindsight I wouldve bought the biggest one, but this one will do just fine.
